The Gering Boys basketball team ended its season in Alliance with a 1 point loss to Scottsbluff. The Bulldogs battled tough the whole game the withstood multiple runs from the bearcats to keep themselves a chance to win at the end. With around 15 second left in the game Scottsbluff had the ball with an opportunity to take the lead. Scottsbluffs Jasiyah De Olles drove to the basket and threw up a wildshot that pinballed all around the basket and bounced off of the backboard to his teammate Sabastian Harsh who had a ball bounce hard off of the backboard then the ball ricocheted back to De Olles who drove to the rim and finished a layup to put the bearcats up by 1 point with 6 seconds remaining. The Bulldogs would still have a chance to win with 6 seconds left however they would have to take the ball all the way up the court. The Bulldogs would inbound it to senior guard Xavier Horst who would take it past half court and then would dish it to Sophomore guard Brett Pszanka who would miss everything on the attempt at a game winning three. The Bulldogs finished the year at 9-11 and will lose 6 seniors. Congrats on a great year for the Gering Boys Basketball team.
